A Woodland Christmas is Beginning

I'm currently working on this year's Yule collection—quiet winter scenes, woodland animals, and the gentle magic that arrives with the first snow. These paintings and cards are still taking shape on my drawing table, and I can't wait to share them with you.

A few finished pieces have recently made their way out of my studio. These are the paintings that have completed their journey from sketchbook to finished work.

Meet Lisa

I live surrounded by forests and lakes in Hartington, Ontario, where I never seem to run out of things to notice.

A rabbit's tracks across the freshly snow. A blue mushroom that I've never seen before. The sound of peepers at night. A shaft of light dancing through the trees.

These quiet discoveries often find their way into my paintings—sometimes as they are, and sometimes as they lead me a little deeper into an imagined forest.
