There was hardly a moment in my childhood that I wasn’t drawing, painting or creating. Every day I would practice my art and dream the dream …..to one day become a full-time artist. I completed a very intense and comprehensive three year art program in high school. I continued for one more year at the Alberta College of Art before deciding that I was not quite cut out for school. Since then, I have been on a long journey of learning and experimenting different techniques and developing my skills.
All of my illustrations are rendered primarily in watercolour, graphite pencil and coloured pencil on heavy cold pressed watercolour paper. Many also include some gold leaf, gold ink, charcoal, pastel, conte and ink. No computer generated work has been involved in the making of the originals. Everything is hand-done by myself, with traditional tools and devices. I hope to continue incoporating many new techniques and ideas into my illustrations.
I am now a full time artist, spending my days drawing and painting portraits for families all over the world, creating products for my etsy store, or letting my mind go wild while creating fun illustrations for children.
